Through our carefully structured daily routine, practical support and community outreach services, Barrett House helps each woman develop the self-confidence and independence she needs to begin building a stable lifestyle for herself and her children. The Barrett House has a capacity of 45 and provides emergency shelter for 800 women and children per year (9300 "shelter nights" and 26,000 meals). Women and children receive a comfortable bed, nutritious meals, clothing, and counseling. Laundry facilities, a library and a children’s play area are available for our clients and give them a sense of normalcy. We also offer classes and training in daily living skills ranging from parenting to literacy. To contact Barrett House, please call (505) 243-4887.
