In 2005, Barrett House moved its shelter operation into a beautiful 12,000 sq. ft. facility in the far northeast heights of Albuquerque. Our shelter was built to provide a home for women and children – not an institution. We provide a safe and healthy living environment that is warm and inviting. Our service is built on the preservation of dignity and worth for every woman and child who seeks refuge. We are proud of how we serve women and children experiencing homelessness and want to share our vision of operating an emergency shelter.
