Make a Difference

It’s due to the countless hours of volunteers that Barrett House is able to positively impact the lives of the women and children experiencing homelessness. Volunteers provide the extra needed help and special touches to make the lives of those we serve better. Our goal is to match community skills and interests with our organizational needs to create a meaningful and fulfilling experience for all who come to partner with us.

Some of the ways you can help:

  • Group Service Projects

  • Childcare

  • Gardening & Landscaping

  • Light Indoor & Outdoor Maintenance

  • Supply & Food Drives

  • Art & Music Activities

To volunteer at Barrett House:

  1. Submit online Volunteer Application.

  2. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and are required to complete a background check. Details about the background check will be provided during orientation.

Volunteers aged 16 or 17 must have a parent or guardian sign a permission slip, which will be provided by our team.

Volunteers under the age of 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone at all times.
